Jill, Hannah, and Aunt Phil came to visit us, but I forgot to take a picture! Grrrr!

Now this is the way to cure a broken back! Actually, Mom didn't partake. She had her percocet! Uncle Don brought the oranges over, so I squeezed the juice and Dad made the Fuzzy Navels. Gotta love Florida medicine!

Dad's turn to shuffle.

I was there for a week before Mom was up to a game of pinochle. She couldn't sit up that long, and it is a very serious game.

Mom's back

I went to Florida for nine days to keep Mom company and give Dad a rest when Mom fractured a vertebrae in her back. She had been in excruciating pain for two months. Dad hadn't been swimming. Claudia to the rescue!

Whose child is this? Drinking coffee and talking on the phone?

Katy came to pick them up. Marissa was happy to see her!

Love this look! The off-center bindi adds to the goofiness.

Later on January 1, 2012

We got a Santa hat that lights up, wiggles around, and plays Jingle Bells. William put it on, became Santa, the elliptical became the sleigh, I was told to close my eyes, and Santa brought me presents. That game went on for quite a while.

I love this picture. I am really glad he wasn't too upset to pose.

William was still willing to let me take a picture of the two chainsaws side-by-side.

John made the starter slit bigger, and William tried again. It still didn't work, and when I was loading these pictures on the computer, William said, "Throw away toy. I get bigger, bigger get bigger, bigger chainsaw." That was pretty much the end of the toy chainsaw. When he came in the house, he hung it on a plant stand, and never looked at it again! I did get him to pose for two more pictures before we came inside, though.

Uh oh! What's that look? William tried to cut the tree, pulled out his chainsaw, looked at John and said, "It doesn't work", and turned to walk away.

William giving it his best shot. Look at the intensity of William and the smile on John!

John cut away the poison ivy vines and prepared the tree with a starter cut.

New Year's Day 2012

For Christmas, John got William a chainsaw that matches his. The day after Christmas, he woke Katy up with it, asking to go outside and cut down one tree. They are going out to cut up a tree.

One last India post

More than a year has gone by, and I still think about my time in India a lot. Christopher sent me a big box of material, and I have made one salwar suit and started a second one. Here is picture of my first homemade salwar suit.
